For the first time ever, screen legends Arnold Schwarzenegger and Jackie Chan face off against each other in this epic fantasy-adventure! In order to save his homeland from certain doom, a kung fu master (Chan) must escape from the maniacal James Hook (Schwarzenegger) in order to send his daughter a secret talisman that will allow her to control a massive and mythical dragon. This larger-than-life, globe-trotting tale — ranging from the impenetrable Tower of London to the fabled Silk Road and China's Great Wall — also stars Rutger Hauer in one of the screen icon's final performances.

Don’t waste your time on this....
  • Over the Top Fantasy

This is a story that knows where it is going, and how it is getting there. It is a wild fantasy, that dips into all sorts of mythology along the way. It's fun, it's zany, and it has unabashed wonder to it. It is not the best production, and while the big stars play a small role in this show, they play it up enough so you don't feel cheated. Use it as a first part of a Sunday Matinee, and follow it up with even more fantasic movies. This is a perfect movie to have as a first act.
  • Iron Mask Should Be Smelted

This movie was so bad that my wife and I turned it off in the first ten minutes. We lamented having spent any money to renting it. Actually, we would like to have our money back.

Would have given it half a star if we could. Worst movie we’ve seen in a long time. Two hours we’ll never get back. UGH!

By the way, this is a Russian movie so for real, some scenes are dubbed. It’s not trying to be an epic anything no matter how many reviews jump to that conclusion to sound smart. It’s a fun, family friendly and really entertaining story. The only confusing thing is why it was called the Iron Mask here, instead of Journey to China because this title doesn’t tell you it’s the sequel to another movie Viy 3D The story is based around the travels of a cartographer who we are apparently introduced to in the first movie, and some historical and folklore characters along the way who help him out of jams and make for some cool fight choreography like we’ve always liked about Jackie Chan. You also get to learn a bit about some deep cut Eastern European folklore alone the way. Arnold Schwarzenegger is fun to watch in his role and so is everyone else. Only thing I hate is obvious CGI by Do you need to watch the first movie? I don’t know but I’m probably gonna cuz I liked this
  • Bad acting and bad story, all in one.

Even the action couldn't save this movie; the acting and story line was beyond horrilbe, and I think Aronald just needs to STOP acting, period! Jackie Chan was the one bright spot in that he's still funny and refreshing to watch!
  • Couldn't finish it...

I seldom if ever stop watching a movie before finishing it, but I did with this one. I love Jackie Chan and think Ahh-nold is fine, but this film was just too terrible to watch all the way through. My wife and I looked at each other at around 30 minutes of play time, and we were done. Odd pacing, weird dubbing (some actors were speaking English, others not, all in the same scene), terrible sound mixing... It just was terrible.
  • Just bad

I really wanted to like this movie but it’s just bad. The story telling and edits were awful.
